PAGE & LAKE POWELL, AZ

Places to Stay

Page & Lake Powell are minutes from one another!

These areas were one of my stops during my summer 2017 road trip. My friend and I stayed at the Best Western Plus at Lake Powell which is located in Page.

Things to Do

• Horseshoe bend

This is shown in the picture above, and 1 of the pictures below. Extremely easy to get to. You'll park down at the bottom and walk up to the viewing point. This "hike" is about 1 mile round trip. I went in August and there was a ton of people.  You were still able to get up front though and get some awesome photos! The area itself is huge too so lots of space to walk around. This spot is a must-see. My friend and I went right before the sun set.

• Paddle board and/or Kayak through Lake Powell

This was an awesome experience.  I love being out on the water so doing it with this type of scenery was indescribable. We rented our paddle boards through https://lakepowellpaddleboards.com/

We had a rent-a-car, so keep in mind you are responsible for bringing your boards/kayak down to the lake. They strap it on your car for you but if you do not have a rent-a-car you may want to call to see how this can be done.

If you plan on taking your phone out on the water I suggest purchasing a waterproof case. I purchased mine from Dicks Sporting Goods, here is a link to the exact one I have: Geckobrands Floatable Waterproof Phone Case

• Antelope Canyon

This is a DEFINITE. No questions asked, you must go here. I can't even describe how amazing it was to be somewhere like this. I did the "lower antelope canyon" tour through this site: http://lowerantelope.com/ -  The tour is 1 hour long and when I went in August, there was a ton of people.  Seemed really crowded at times, especially down below in such confined space, BUT you kept moving along and the beauty of this canyon felt unreal!

Restaurants / Bars

• Dam Bar & Grille

We came here for a late lunch before our Antelope Canyon tour. Typical pub food right in the middle of the town of Page. Big place, good food, and nice atmosphere.

This is the only place we really went to because we were only here for a day. We ordered in dinner at our hotel that night.
