Phoenix was my last stop during my summer 2017 road trip. We headed here for just 1 full day and spent 1 night at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa

This hotel was GORGEOUS. Highly recommend staying here if you're in the Phoenix area. My friend and I didn't want to leave. Huge resort right on a golf course with an amazing pool/outdoor area. A few different restaurants to choose from too.

PS - This was also my last stop during my summer 2018 road trip. Although I had a campervan during this trip, the Arizona heat was up to 120 degrees, and 103 at night. So, my boyfriend at the time and I chose to stay cool in a hotel for the ending of our trip. This hotel was also great and was called the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Phoenix Airport North.

Things to Do

I had a friend who moved out to this area so I had the privilege of having him and his girlfriend show us around.
Although I don't remember the names to the places, I would suggest going out and about in Scottsdale. Extremely close to the Phoenix area, and there's lots of action! A ton of bars/restaurants all in one location.
Be careful for that heat though! I'd definitely suggest a hotel with a pool during the summer months.
