DENVER, CO
Places to Stay

We stayed at the Quality Inn, located in Lakewood, CO, but to be honest I wouldn't recommend it. The hotel was a little dirty and we didn't love it here.

Denver was one of our stops during our Summer 2017 road trip. We were only here for 2 days so were limited with how much we could fit in.
Things to Do

• Head downtown
Tons of restaurants, bars, & shops. Very city like and lots of places to walk around and see (especially on a nice and warm day) - We went in July. Scroll down to get some bar & restaurant suggestions!

• Go to Red Rocks Amphitheater
MUST do! This venue was hands down one of the coolest venues and experiences I've ever had. Even if you don't know the band performing, if you can catch any concert here, GO! The altitude is no joke though, drink tons of water and be prepared to walk up very steep hills. You may feel a little off when you're up top but that's just because the elevation is over 6,000 ft!

• Go to the Rocky Mountains
If you have the time, the Rocky Mountains are about 2 hours from Denver. We chose to just drive through it, but saw tons of wild life.

Restaurants / Bars

• Tavern Downtown
We ate here for brunch/lunch and sat up top on the roof top (which overlooks Coors Field baseball stadium) Food was amazing!

• ViewHouse Eatery Bar & Rooftop
This was our favorite. Real cool atmosphere with a rooftop up top also overlooking Coors Field. Downstairs had an outdoor area as well that had tons of games and outdoor seating with fire pits. Very laid back atmosphere with a good crowd. We came here for the drinks only. This was located real close to Tavern.

• Mellow Mushroom
This was a very casual pizza place that we went to later on in the day for dinner after walking around and going into some shops. Tasty and quick food. We sat outside that was pretty much on the street so you were able to people watch everyone walking around in the center of downtown.
