Napa Valley
Places to Stay

This was a stop during my summer 2018 road trip. We had our campervan during this trip so we camped out at the Skyline Wildnerness Park for the night. Nice open concept grounds with tons of space (and public bathrooms). Right in the heart of Napa too and was fairly close to all the vineyards.

Things to Do

• Drink wine (duh!)
There are tons of vineyards in Napa, and I mean TONS. We didn't really have a "plan", just drove along and made a few stops along our travels. We did know we wanted to make it a point to stop at "Stag's Leap Wine Cellars" though which was a wine we both loved and family members loved it too. To be honest it was one of my favorite places too, the views were incredible!
Be sure to hit all of these vineyards up early. Especially if you're like us and are only there for 1 day. We didn't start our route until about 1pm or so, not realizing most places closed around 4 or 5, and even though 3-4 hours seems like a long time, it goes by fast and you certainly don't want to feel rushed. You also have to account for driving to your next stop. Because of this we had to cut our wine tasting journey short. We had anticipated going to Sonoma after Napa but unfortunately didn't have the time.
We visited 4 vineyards all together but I can only remember 3 (if I remember the other I will come back and add it!) (links included below too):
This place was recommended by a friend. The service was great!
Raymond Vineyards
This is a must-see. Such a different vibe and not your average "wine tasting" room. The minute we walked in we felt like we were in Vegas. Really awesome atmosphere and all around a good time. Take advantage of this place because I don't think it's often you find a vineyard that looks like this.
Stag's Leap Wine Cellars
As mentioned above, one of my favorite ones. The views were amazing and just overall a great "tasting" experience here. Really gave off that "Napa" vibe. Service was great as well.
Honestly you probably need to go to Napa a few times in order to see it all. Aside from the vineyards, later that night we went into town for dinner, which surprisingly had a great nightlife. Reminded me of a mini city.
• Grab dinner at the Bounty Hunter
Awesome BBQ spot and wine bar. Check it out here: Bounty Hunter, and do yourself a favor and order the bounty burger, which is made with wagyu beef. Although I didn't have it as my meal, my boyfriend at the time said it was the best burger he ever had!
