GRAND CANYON

The Grand Canyon was one of my stops during my summer 2017 road trip. We did not stay anywhere, but made it a point to take the couple hours to drive here and check it out.  If you're in the AZ area, and you can fit it in somehow, DO IT!

** You will need a national park pass to enter **

You can purchase the "America the Beautiful" pass. I was able to pick mine up at a local park where I live. But I believe you can order online too. The price for an annual pass was $80.  This was SO worth it.  This got us into a ton of parks on our road trip.  If you do not have this, you will have to pay on site at the national park.

If you're only going to 1 park you may end up just paying there, but if you have multiple state and national parks on your list, it will end up costing more if you do not get the annual pass.

NOTE: We got here pretty early in the morning and got lucky and only had a few cars in front of us (it was also raining at first) BUT I heard that you can wait on a line to get in for hours. Just a heads up.

The Grand Canyon is HUGE. You drive around and there are multiple stops you can turn into and check out. Tons of signs too to help guide you.  We ended up stopping at a small village which had some shops and food.
