I had the luxury of staying at my ex-boyfriends cabin, or a friends cabin, each time I was in this area upstate. Love it out here in the country! I live on Long Island, so this was a perfect weekend get-a-way for all seasons.
Things to Do
​
• Hike Peekamoose
This was about an 8 mile hike round trip. Pretty strenuous hike. Bring lots of water, and snacks to last you. Lot of rocks and steep areas, but the view is worth it. (Picture above)

• Check out the Union Grove Distillery
Small little place located in Arkville. We always tried to stop in here every now and again for a drink. We've gone in all seasons, but in the winter they have the fireplace going and their white russian is the BEST!
​
• Belleayre Mountain
If you ski and/or snowboard, definitely check this out and hit up some trails. Awesome mountain! Located in Highmount. Head over to the Overlook Lodge later in the day too for some après ;)
Restaurants / Bars

• Peekamoose Restaurant and Tap Room
Love this place. Real cozy inside and really gives off that upstate vibe.

• Pine Hill Arms
Great little place located in Pine Hill. This is also a hotel. We came here often whether it's just for a drink or for food as well.

• The Colonial Inn
Located right down the block from Pine Hill Arms (you can walk it). This place is super historic and extremely old. The owner is awesome though and it's definitely worth going in and checking out. This is also a hotel.

• Summerfields
This is located in Margaretville. Nice little sports bar with typical pub food. TVs, quick draw, and an outside area as well.

• Phoenicia Diner
Really great diner located in Phoenicia.
​
• Brio's
Pizzeria located in Phoenicia, but also serves great breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
